Almond


Almonds have been celebrated since antiquity as food and as symbols of fertility, honor,
beauty, and love. A cornerstone of healthy eating, almonds have the flavor and texture to
enhance sweet and savory dishes used whole, slivered, or ground into flour and pastes.
Almond flour gives all our Lace Cakes a special texture and flavor.

 



 

Chocolate

 

Chocolate is one of the world’s most loved flavors. Its scientific name, Theobroma cacao, means “food of the deities.” Made in Europe since the 1600s when explorers brought it from the Americas, dark chocolate’s brown color is from cocoa solids. White chocolate contains cocoa butter, sugar, and milk, but no solids. To guarantee premium quality, all Leclanté products use only 100% pure Belgian chocolate.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Coffee

 

Coffee - According to legend, the energizing effect of coffee beans was discovered 1,000 years ago in the Kaffa region of Ethiopia. Coffee is one of the most popular drinks and flavors in the world. It enhances the flavor of chocolate, making it a superb addition to any recipe where you want the chocolate taste to shine, such as our Coffee Lace Cake.

 

 


Hazelnut

Hazelnuts found in Britain were dated to circa 7,000 BC. Today Turkey and Italy are the world's largest producers of hazelnuts, which are rich protein and other essential nutrients. Slightly sweet and pleasantly oily, hazelnuts are consumed plain or used in desserts. A paste made of pure hazelnuts is a key ingredient in Viennese hazelnut tortes, and in our Hazelnut Lace Cakes.


 

 

 

 

 

 

Lemons & Limes

Lemons and Limes are rarely consumed as stand-alone fruits, but their intense flavor adds an extra dimension when used in combination with other flavors. Citrus fruits, an excellent source of vitamin C, are frequently added to drinks, sauces, and confections. Their very light and refreshing taste makes our Lemon Lace Cake an irresistible choice.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Passion Fruit

Passion Fruit is native to southern Brazil hrough Paraguay to northern Argentina. Prized for the appealing taste of its juice and whole fruit, in Brazil its pulp is used widely on cakes and in passion fruit mousse. Because the fruit’s tart taste makes desserts so refreshing, we created a Passion Fruit Lace Cake that is perfect for warm tropical climates. 



 


 

 

Pistachio

Nutritionally rich pistachio kernels were first cultivated in Central Asia, and had become a common food by 6,750 BC. Grown commercially in the English-speaking world from Australia to California, the nuts are eaten whole or chopped, or often ground into paste for use in ice cream, baklava, and our delicious Pistachio Lace Cakes.
